I am fairly new at programming Robots so there may be a simple solution but I haven't found one. FYI...I am programming from the teach pendant.
I have a pick that I need to make where the product is stacked multiple high and each part varies in height. Another words I have an X and Y position, but not a Z position. What I want to do is approach from directly above my stack and travel straight down until D1 is on. Then I want to stop, record my position, and make my pick (vacuum the part). After the place, I need to return to the previous pick position and repeat the process. I know how to program my pick and place. What I need help is:
1) How do I move until D1 is on or stop motion with D1?
2) How do I record my current position in a Product register so I can return to it. Unless there is a better way.
