backing up just saves the files on the media, as is
To see (an edit) programs they must be processed to ASCII format
use the print function, F5 on the second page of the SELECT screenJust remember that you need to have the ASCII upload option to load a modified program
-
Can I get this information in step by step please
-
press SELECT key on the teach to display your programs, move the cursor to highlight the program
press NEXT key to display the second functions page
you will see PRINT above the F5 key
press F5 to print (save) the program in ascii formatThe file is save in the default media
To change the media, (before saving the file):
MENU -> FILE -> F5 [UTIL] -> Set Device -
To take all programs backup in ASCii at a time.

Robotdione, are you using this option? (screenshot attached)
-
Yes but still files saving in TP format
-
you can use COPY function。

Check:
https://www.robot-forum.com/robotforum/fan…ng-up-programs/According to the manual
press MENU -> FILE -> NEXT -> F4 [ASCII]This would save TP programs in LS (ASCII format) also and SYSVAR.VA will be saved in ASCII readable format
Please confirm if this works

Yes but still files saving in TP format
This is strange. Maybe a variable preventing ascii saving?Enviado de meu SM-N910C usando Tapatalk

Take a look at the $ASCII_SAVE variable.
The value should be TRUE

Another question: when You browse through MD:, You find .ls files indide?

Sorry for the flooding, but I'm posting while remembering. So...
1) If you have .ls files inside Your MD:, You can simply copy the contents of MD: device. In my opinion, this is even a better method to make backups, because You have some diagnostic files that didn't come with regular All of Above + AscII backup method.
2) If you doesn't have .ls files inside your MD:, You should check the value of the $ASCII_SAVE variable.
