Hey everyone,
This is my first post here, so I will briefly explain what we are trying to do. I own a company called Novo and we have recently acquired a KR350 with a KRC2. We have modified the robot to hold a human passenger and we are currently developing a prototype to deliver a virtual reality motion simulation using the ride. You will wear a head mounted display and sit at the end of the arm. As you watch the experience on the display, the robot will run a program that simulates the motion you see.
Couple issues first. The robot and controller are aftermarket GM robots. They have devicenet and we are able to contact and control them via that connection. The controllers are running Windows95. I would like to upgrade the OS and the Kuka software so that we are able to use a remote program to drive the robot and as well so that we can integrate the spline motion commands, as ours does not include them with the KSS we have.
Any leads or ideas would be great. We are really here as newcomers to the robot world and any information would prove fruitful. We are located in New York and also looking for freelance robot programmers/engineers.
Cheers!
