Hello everybody,
I am a robotics newbie and this is my first post on the forum. I am doing research for a programing software for a one-robot cell, a KUKA KR Quantec Extra model, and have narrowed down to two potential candidates: Robotmaster and Octopuz. Can anyone who has experienced with either (or better, both) of these solutions on any robot please tell me your impression and experiences on the software in terms of functionalities, user interface, technical supports...?
From what I could gather, Robotmaster has been around for awhile and is more popular. Octopuz has only been out for a few years and is less polished than Robotmaster; but since my group has limited knowledge of robotics programming, Octopuz technical support system's closer proximity to our location might come in handy. Nevertheless, if Robotmaster is more straightforward to use, Octopuz's support advantage might be negated.
What is your take on the two solutions? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
