Hello,
Is there any guidance for ceiling installation of a small payload KUKA robot?
I have several questions. What is the standard way of handling the robot for ceiling installation? How I should design the base so in the future I can easier repair it if needed?
Any experience and guidance?
Thank you.

Requires a specific ceiling-mount robot, for one. Just flipping a regular floor-mounted robot upside-down won't do it.
Dismounting and re-mounting ceiling-mounted robots is always a pain. The best case, is to have good sturdy "pockets" on the sides of the robot, and a forklift that can lift and flip the robot.
Without that, I recall KUKA used to have a large square frame within which they could mount most models of robot, than use a ceiling crane to clip the frame over 90deg at a time, then connected the crane to the robot base eyebolts to lift it into position.

Thank you very much. I noticed some points but is there any KUKA (or other brands) manual, photos, clips and tools for ceiling installation?

Thank you very much. I noticed some points but is there any KUKA (or other brands) manual, photos, clips and tools for ceiling installation? You should find the installation manuals in the Disc which should have come with the robot. Look into your controller. If you do not find it then you have to contact KUKA with your exact robot model and they will provide you.
