I would make a backup of my robot but I can't stop the process. Is it possible to do?
Can we make a backup of a FANUC while the robot is in the process of working?

Welcome to the forum.I'm guessing you are talking about late model.
Yes, you canPersonally, I never do, I stop the cycle to do it
I just dont trust the processor handling the backup an also doing production -

image backup requires booting the robot, so that definetely will stop it.
partial backup or backup all, can be done while the robot is in cycle.
I've also configure the auto-back up that runs on the background and never had a problem with the robot running.Regards

I have never had a problem doing an all above backup from the file menu with the robot running on an R30ib(even with iRvision running) however even some R30ia's can lockup the teach pendent doing a backup while it's running. That being said all above backups often only take a minute or two.

I'm using this for the first time, it's been years since I've pulled a program backup from an earlier date...30ib controller...please help

Its possible but best practice when the robot is running it to keep it in operator user profile which should not have write/edit permission... that being said; you will not be able to switch users while the robot is in operation and so you will have to wait until the robot is in idle to switch profiles and make a backup.
However,
If you are running the robot in admin and have those privileges, there is nothing stopping you on an R30iB.
