Hello everyone,
i am researching about using a robot for cutting and welding application for metals up to 5mm thickness.
Anyone with such experience? I just need some info like what is possible to be done and what's not etc.

Yes is that possible. You can buy Laser unit and optional software for robot.
e.g. KUKA Laser Tech and Trumpf HL4006D
e.g. KUKA RoboScan Laser Head + Trumpf TruDisk 4002Laser cutting and welding already using in Automative sector.

I already did a welding (CO2) setup and some others (palleting), working without a hitch.
Had to modify quite some stuff to make it work as needed, but being good at electronics is a requirement, otherwise do not expect much.
If you have specific questions, i will gladly answer.
