I have an IRB 6400 M96 with a DSQC 239 card. It is used to map I/O between PLC and robot. I don't think it could be used for program transfer (but I've been wrong before...)
Thanks for the reply. I did find that there's no data transmission capability, but it might be possible to send 8bit words back and forth.. but it's not very practical. Better to upgrade to 2.1 and use Load/Unload commands.

The DSQC239 Remote I/O is made specifically to communicate on the Allen Bradley Data Highway (DH) network. When communicating with an Allen Bradley PLC and setup as a rack, you can exchange 4-bit & 8-bit data using Fetch & Transfer.
