Earlier this week I was running my MRC II with an SV3 robot (set up for Mig Welding on an ArcWorld Lite). I was running a part and the turn table turned like normal but the robot did not engage, I check and for some reason the servos went off. I checked that the safety latches were engaged and that the light curtain was not obstructed and went to turn the servos on again on the control box and nothing happened. I made sure the machine was set up correct, it was on play mode and everything, but every time I push the servo on button nothing happens.
So I tried to see if I could get the machine to run in teach mode with the teach pendant and everything worked fine. I wanted to see if I could use the teach pendant to turn on the servos while the machine was in play mode. Much to my surprise it worked , Motoman says it shouldn't.
I can run the machine just fine but I have to turn the servos on with the teach pendant and then hit the start but on the control box. Is there any reason that the servo on button on the control box isn't allowing me to turn on the machine. When I turn the servos on with the pendant the light still comes on and runs correctly in play mode.
Any help would be appreciated, Motoman is telling me that possible something in the hardware could be messed up, but I have 0 electrical experience and my company doesn't have a dedicated maintenance person to work on machines and I am stuck doing it.
