Hi everybody,
i want to do the following thing with a Fanuc Lr200i.
I have a main program called PNS0001.
When i press reset and later i press start, the pns0001 is reset to line 0 of the program. Ok
If i put the signal HOLD to off, the robot stops and when i press start (with the HOLD to ON) the program continue in the same line. Ok.
But if i open a door, i have to reset the alarma because i have the alarm "Fence Open". Ihave to reset it with the signal RESET, but i don´t want to reset the program to line 0, i want to continue it. It is possible???
I´m trying to change options in the config menu with pnsstrobe, etc... but i can´t do it.
Any idea???
how continue a program and how to reset

You have two UOP signal for starting a program:
- START.
- PROD_STARTYou shoud use PROD_START for starting a PNS program.
If you pause a program because of an error od HOLD, then you can use START input for continue ($SHELL_CFG.$CONT_ONLY is set to TRUE).

Verify the UOP auto assignment setting in the System Configuration.
As far as I remember, the "Simple" merges the Fault Reset and CSTOPI (abort) signals. -
thanks both!!
I´ve had to re-assign the signal PROD_START and CSTOPI to DI signals for use when i want.

Hi
similar theme so I thought I would pop the query in here...
can I manually select any program on the teach pendant, and then use the uop start input?
(as you would with a local setup and pressing the cycle start button on the front of robot controller.) -
brett_32i,
That is how we start our robots. We use a combination of the PRODUCTION START input to "rewind" the program to the top line and start it running. The program is now looping waiting for the start input. The START input is then used to jump into the actual program to move the robot.Either start input can be used to start a program running that has been selected manually. I believe you have to change from LOCAL to REMOTE in the config.

I believe you can; I'm pretty sure if you aren't using PNS or RSR then the UOP start signal will run what ever job is currently selected.
On the three robots I'm currently working on I have two set up to call a Master Job anytime PROD_Start is received (either with the SOP or the UOP). One of them will just start whatever program I have selected on the TP. In order to get the first two to call the same job every time I had to change a system variable, but I can't remember which one. Ironically I was actually just on my way to go look for it so I can set it on RB3 before reading this post. I will let you know when I find it.

I was wrong, the UOP PROD_Start can call the same job everytime; but the SOP button will start whatever program is selected by the TP.

yep, so it was easy. tried it this morning. (I was just being overly cautious by assuming you couldnt)
local/remote didn't matter.
set start for continue to FALSEconfig cycle start ui to my push button, and then I can start what ever manually selected tp is set.
its not perfect (because if operator cursors down, it doesn't care and will start from there)
but if customer doesn't want HMI/PLC, then this is good..thanks
