Profibus DP/DP coupler and PROF-007 PARAMETER ERROR

    Hello everyone,

    i'm having trouble in setting the profibus comm between a R30iA with the master DP card and a siemens 6ES7 972-0BA12-0XA0 DP/DP coupler.
    The error i get when i connect the cable to the device is PROF-007 Parameter fault (7)
    7 is the address of the dp/dp coupler.

    How do i set the paramters fot that device?

    if you are using Profibus DP/DP coupler you must configure profibus master menu (you need option profibus master and a profibus master card).

    this an example for siemens 158-0AD01 0XA0
    16bytes in/16bytes out

    DP master Slave parameter :
    status :enable
    address :3
    comment :Coupler DPDP
    IN offset :0
    OUT offset :0
    INPUT bytes :16
    OUTPUT bytes :16
    Ident nummer :32880
    uer prm data bytes :8
    data :0,0,0,5,129,0,0,128
    config data bytes :2
    data :175.159

    I'm running into same issue Parameter Fault...My setup is Fanuc Profibus DP Master to Siemens DP/DP Coupler... My Automation Cell is using a DMG-Mori DMP70... I've tried the parameters above but no luck... DMG's Docs call out 32in/32Out, I've tried both, any thoughts?...

    Hi. Old post! But did you solve the problem? I will try to do the same setup for a DMG in the next weeks. I just waiting for the profibus master hardware.

    My machine documents show a Siemens DP/DP coupler with 32in/32out just as yours.

    Have you tried 4 bytes in/out instead of 32? (4x8=32)
