Sure looks correct if it matchs robot model to rerun library hit auto key F3. If you choose manual it will ask a lot of questions.

Thanks for the help, gotta work on a different issue on the shop floor now so i'll pick this back up tomorrow. I'm sure I will have plenty more questions for you by then. Thanks again.
-
Ok, new day starting fresh. First things first I decided to reload the software to rule out any mishaps there, started at the bmon menu and chose 2(all software install) and the only question it asked me was what type of flange did I have standard or insulated, I chose standard (still guessing at this one) and when it was all done it asked me to cycle power. After the install was done and I did a cold start I went to the alarm screen and only had two different types of alarms. The first is the door open or estop alarm and the others were pulse mismatch errors which I expected. I went through and configured all the I/0 again and reset the pulse mismatch error and I am still left with the door open or estop. I think I'm getting a bald spot now as this has turned into a real head scratcher for me lol.

Running out of ideas here for you to try without physically seeing robot. Did you make and keep the old spottools image before loading handlingtools? I suspect if you loaded it back in everything would be fine, which would tell me something is going wrong with handlingtools when it configures. One thing to try out of curiosity if this robot in its past life had a spotgun attached to it would be to power down and remove spotgun 2nd cpu (not needed if no spotgun is attached). Power back up after board is removed. That 2nd cpu was only added for patent issues and not needed if no spotgun is attached. Try clearing alarm screen and force a cold start and carefully read ALL alarm log messages when it boots back up.

If you do temp load back in old spottools image make an image of your current handlingtools to save time reloading.
-
I think you have the wrong software!
Do an image backup and then load your original software.
If the Door Open Estop error is gone then it will be confirmed.
S430's came with a couple different controller configurations.
1. The B cabinet is a full size cabinet the is connected to the robot via 2 or 3 cables. They don't have a door switch.
2. The A cabinet is mounted and connected directly to the back of the robot and has a separate Operators Box that would be located outside of the robot cell. It has a door switch. -
I don't have the original software for this robot but I did make an image backup. I had the robot working with the original software. How can I tell what cabinet this new software is for?
-
Also, I have the full size cabinet. I went through a controlled start then to maintenance and manually configured the robot for a remote cabinet but after doing this and a cold start nothing seems to have changed. Did I miss something?
-
Fanuc will have to tell you the software config.
If you have a backup from the Spot tool and from the handling tool, look for the file Summary.dg.
This has the robot config in it.
Email them to me Racermike123@att.net
I can look at them and see if something looks wrong.
Heck you can open them in Wordpad and maybe you will see something. -
Solved. The problem was that my controller has the auto/t1/t2 key and needed the control reliable option installed. Did a controlled start and installed the option and everything so far seems to be back to normal. Thanks everybody for all the help.

Hi!
I'm lucky I found this thread. I have the exact same problem with the SRVO-105 Door open or E.Stop error. I also don't have the option "Control Reliable" installed although my controller has the Auto/T1/T2 key (I don't understand how that can even be possible...?).
If I press "Install" when in the menu in Controlled start, the TP tells me to "insert a2". What is a2? Could I get the option from somewhere without making the expensive call to Fanuc because I think it is not an option for me
-
You need the AP2 disk. It is part of the original Fanuc software.
What type of robot and the controller model do you have. -
Oh okay, unfortunately no software disks came with the robot.. The robot type is LRMate200i and the controller is R-J3 (i-cabinet...? Two different cabinets anyhow).
-
I want to know the history with this unit. When did you start getting this alarm? Was this robot running and now it is not?
Do you have any backups particularly image backups?
Please provide as much info as you can. -
The robot has been bought used and no manuals/software/backups came with it... Just a little while ago I was given the task to get it running (atm to also get it milling with a small spindle). Apparently the controller has been used also with a Fanuc S-430iF(?) robot because it had some programs with comments citing it. Also some circuit boards etc. were given us separately so I'm not sure if they are originally from the same controller but they seem to work.
The alarm has come ever since I first booted up the controller. I don't know when is the last time the robot has been running before it came to us. The alarm doesn't come when the controller's key is in Auto position so the problem is almost certainly the same as with Harleydude I think. Is the only solution to install the option? Because again I think it is not possible for us via Fanuc knowing some of the prices.
I'll describe shortly another problem we have if you happened to be able to help: When I jog the robot with a speed over ~20% I sometimes get a collision detection alarm. I have defined they payload and even if there's no tool attached the alarm comes. Should I change the axels' grease?
-
OK if the robot is an LR 200 the controller was never used with an S430. They are totally different, not compatible.
I need you to make an all files backup and end it to racemike123@att.net -
Hi! So can't I just plug any robot which is compatible with R-J3 (like S-430) to any R-J3 controller? I thought that it must be possible..
I sent you the backup!
-
No you can't especially LR mates. They are different.
There are some that can interchange and for diagnostic purposes you could connect an Arcmate controller to a S430 but you would blow the servo amp if you tried to move it. -
Sorry I typo'd my own email address. It's Racermike123@att.net.
