the weld proces dont depend on the robot. you can weld al also with mrc, xrc, nx or dx...
depende is the welding system allow it. -
Hi , as Rzapo has posted , the "welder" , Wire feeder & setup is the main issue , Not the robot arm .
Would suggest you lookup Ed Craig's. Webb site "weldreality.com" , I have found his comments a wealth of good knowledge.
welding GOOD Aluminium can be a very steep learning curve. -
the system we have is to weld Aluminum, the programming part i got it i been programming nx & dx to weld carbon steel but never aluminum so i'm not sure as how to set the weld parameters for it.
been doing research on it and found alot of good info. but all of it is for manual welding, what i'm looking for is good setting for robotic welding ampearge, volts and travel speedthanks, Pcarbines & rzapo for your post i will look into the website

ask the producer of the welding power source about the posibility to weld Al.. you need at least an invertor power source.

I actually have met Ed Craig, incidently,,, a scary good gut (hard to find a welder who can program, and it is that order I think he likes to be referred as) . (He worked for corvette, ford, chrysler, and I think he did pipe and nuclear water jackets,,(million dollar welds),,,
