I am new to this forum and only dabble in robot programming so bare with me!
I have two of these robots in the same production area in different machines. They are controller by a KRC2 controller. They are used to pick and place small valves only a couple of grams in weight - about 10 per minute 24/7. Since we have had them for the last 6 years they occasionally will move out of the operating envelope and crash into fixtures in the machine during production. The positions that it ends up vary and they are not programed. This causes major problems with downtime etc..
We have had many KUKA engineers attempt to fix the problem but to no avail. The issue may not occur for months and then it goes through a phase of happening every day for weeks.
Has anyone else had these issues with these robots?
Have you had any success in solving the problems?
Has anyone any ideas?
