After replacing batteries I moved the S motor to 0 and shut the robot off and started to reset the encoders placed jumper wire in 8 and 12 on S waited a few min and removed jumper and plugged S back in. After powering robot up I recieved MAKE ABS DATA ERROR 08 0000_0010 It will not let me reset it everything is locked up S servo pack is flashing a red light could anybody tell me what I need to do to correct this issue I know longer have manuals on ERC cells.

Don't understand. Why did you try to reset the encoder "after" replacing the battery. The code you gave us is not complete, don't know if it's the S axis or another axis that needs to be fixed. Are you sure you are shorting pins 8 and 12 (not 1 and 5, or 4 and 8 or 9 and 5?) sometimes you have to leave the jumper on overnight and other times you have to replace the motor.

see attached Pages , there is only one way to "Home Position Calibrate" an ERC
"By the Book".
Please remember you are working with 23+ year electronics , many of the PCB
"components" are no longer even manufactured.
