Hi, I have an ERC K6 Year 1999… (owner, programmer, operator) Robot was working excellent when last used. While renovating my shop the robot sat for about 2 months. Upon starting it I received a “FILE TOTAL CHECK ERROR”, “File No : 255”. I came to this website to troubleshoot the problem and discovered that others have discussed the same issues. After some research on this site I found that the battery in the controller and the robot needed to be replaced.
(Issue #1) During the replacement of the batteries I discovered that the connector for the battery on the ERC controller inside the door can be connected backwards and now I can’t tell which way is correct. Help here anyone?
After replacing the batteries (with the battery plug the way I think it goes) I continue to get the “FILE TOTAL CHECK ERROR”, “File No : 255” so with some further research on Robot Forum I found I need to initialize the unit and re-calibrate. Following Robodoc instructions I initialized the unit and upon restarting I got a “FILE TOTAL CHECK ERROR”, “File No : 1”. With more research I initialized the parameter RC and RC2… upon restart I got the following…
MAKE ABS DATA: <FAILED>
ERROR NO ERROR STATUS
SV1 1: 00 0000_0000
SV1 2: 01 0000_0001
SV1 3: 00 0000_0000
SV2 1: 00 0000_0000
SV2 2: 01 0000_0001
SV2 3: 07 0000_0010
SV3 1: 00 0000_0000
SV3 2: 00 0000_0000
SV3 3: 00 0000_0000
SV4 1: 00 0000_0000
SV4 2: 00 0000_0000
SV4 3: 00 0000_0000
(Issue #2) I don’t know what to do from here. Robodoc stated one must fix the “files” that are corrupt as they present themselves, this is where I don’t understand, fix what files and how? I don’t know how to do that.
(Issue #3) When it is time to re-calibrate I will require some pointers.
I realize I have probably lost everything at this point however I am determined to succeed. This is where I am at, if anyone can help please… where do I go from here??? FYI I have no backups.
