I am fairly new to RoboGuide, and I am having an issue transferring my user frames to the robot. All of my other files will transfer, but I am not sure how to transfer the user frame that I had set up in RoboGuide to the robot itself. Thanks

The Frame data is in the file FRAMEVAR.vr.Backup your simulation and then load thisd file into your robot.
-
Do a Backup All on your physical robot.
In roboguide, in your workcell. Double click the cad model of your robot and you should get a popup.
Select "Serialize Robot"
Select "Create a robot from a file backup" - You will need to navigate to the backup you made.
This should automatically select any motion groups, controls, options, your robot has loaded on the controller. Loads all frames and updates the Simulation to have exactly whats on your physical machine.
Hope I didn't miss anything. Any of you more experienced guys feel free to chime in. I really detest Roboguide.
! Small note - If you have an older computer. After you start your serialize. It would be a good time for a smoke/soda break as it can take a bit.

Racermike123: I tried to take the FRAMEVAR.vr file out of one of the directory's that had a saved version of my program. It says it transferred over, but its not loading on the robot and I still have my old frame values still on the robot.
Separate question. I know there is a direct way to enter userframe data. But is there also a way to edit the configuration data of that user frame? It's only letting me change the X,Y,Z,W,P,R variables and not the Config data.

There is another file SYSFRAME.SV try to load them both. I tried it in simulation and it worked, but I will try again with a live unit and get back to you.
Sorry I don't know how to change the config in a frame setup but I will see what I can find out. -
Hello,
Regarding your "userframe config" question:
You can:1. Make a PR with the desired configuration.
2. Put the frame values in the PR (0 if you only want to change the config).
3. Load the PR in desired user frame using the TP instruction. -
OK I tested this on an M10 with V7.70 software. I created a simulation and then taught the tool and user frames.
I made a backup and loaded the FRAMEVAR.VR and that file brought the description of the frames (names and what frame number).
Then I loaded SYSFRAME.SV and it brought in the values.I hope this helps.

Hello
I want to serialize Robot in ROBOGUIDE by Backup (backdate.dt). When I loading the file, there is a message. I went further step and nothing happened.
Could you guys please give me some advice in this situation?
Thanks and best regards,

There is a problem with roboguide version 8.30.
You can't create a cell from a backup that has a software version of 8.30. You will need to make it manually.
Use the backdate.dt file from your controller backup. It has the options you need to select to create the cell.
It can be opened in Wordpad -
Hello Racermike123,
This is my backdate.dt:
17/11/17 17:48:20Version: V8.30P/30/None
Build ID: V8.30199 2/6/20171A05B-2500-H510

which options should I select?
Moreover, when I serialize manually, the TP screen appears and then lags. I waited for a long while but nothing seems to be proceeded.
Thanks

NguyenLam, take a look at your summary.dg file.
I think there You will have detailed descriptions about your options.
But if You want use Your backdate.dt, follow the last four digits, for example
In 1A05B-2500-H510 option code, You will need search for H510 inside RoboGuide.
