When running a program, does the controller always calculate the exact same path when moving to a point? I always assumed it did but I've heard guys say over the years that the robot will "try to learn the fastest path" to a point by trying slightly different paths every time it runs through the program. I'm curious about this because from my experience I can't see a difference when watching a robot run a program over and over. Unless it is changing path calculations very slightly every time. I would also assume this could be kind of dangerous if you've programmed the robot to move very close to a fixed object inside the cell.
