Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and new to TPP programming. I have a couple of Fanuc RJ controllers running 3.07PD that I would like to monitor a digital input on continually whenever a program is in the running state. All of my other controllers have the condition monitor function but the older controllers do not. So here is the question... Would I be able to monitor a digital input from a macro? This is the only option availible on these controllers and I do not want to spend the time writing IF statements after every motion to accomplish this.
My condition monitor program is written like: IF DI 3 [GATE CLOSED]= off CALL ABORT, then the abort program stops all functions of the robot and the press. I was tinkering with macros and included the same line but it did not function. I have changed the header information to all * since it is a non-motion program. Is a macro going to run in the background all the time? In the TPP program I used the macro function to start the macro program is that the correct way to accomplish this?
Any insite into writing and executing this would be appreciated.
