hi, I have robot 410iB-300 and one encoder (axis 2) broke. I want to move the robot in safe position.
possible to "disable" a axis? I thought to get the encoder from axis 4 and place the axis 2. there is a parameter that disables error absent encoder to move the robot?

No, if you pull an ancoder you loose your mastering data. I would not recomend that and it still won't run with one bad.
I think you can buy just the encoder for that unit, replace it and single axis master it to keep your variance to a minimum. -
As far as I know there is no method to move under power.
But you can move it when you disengage the break, you then can move it gently.
Beware that the arm then will respond to the law of gravity, and will drop if not supported. -
You can replace the pulse coder on the servo motor without removing the servo, therefore this can be done without worrying about the robot falling.
