We actually just got it figured out. For some reason we have no values coming from mori but that is a whole separate issue.

Yes. I meant with Allen Bradley ethernet IP adapter option

Has anyone sucessfully integrated at Mori Lathe to a fanuc robot using the mori as a scanner and the fanuc robot as an AB adapter?

Years ago I had an issue where the safety circuit for the fence circuit was changing from ok, to not ok, to ok again so fast that the robot couldn't detect what really occurred. It did throw up an alarm but it was very generic. Possibly this could be it. Any chance to tried jumping the fence circuit or your external e-stop safety circuitry? Obviously make sure you are doing this in a safe manor!!!

Is this axis going to be used in DCS? Trust me this makes a huge difference on where the axis lies. It can either be a 7th axis or a group 2 axis 1.

There was a 120 vac option for a 200iC from fanuc. Make sure you're sitting down when you get the price! Otherwise just buy a transformer

You absolutely 100 percent can talk to a cognex camera outside of Karel. You need the AB Scanner Ethernet IP option and can talk to an insight camera. I would have to go back through my notes as I did it last year but I got 4 cells in the field running on this. If you look at the cognex info they will tell you the instance and all of the other data that the fanuc scanner card needs to communicate.

I think this fuse blowns with a short in the TP cable. Did you check this?

I am assuming you have the area scanner tied into the fence circuit on the robot. What you need to do is to issue a fault reset and a cycle start after the area is clear. you have to provide a high signal to the fault reset for a second wait and drop the signal. then wait for the fault to clear (approx 2 seconds) then pulse a cycle start. there is some timing involved to do this and I am to lazy to open a program to review it. play with it you will get it...

Do you have the BIF module as is shown in the picture you attached? you NEED this module.
-
I am assuming you are working on an LR-Mate where you are trying to uses the 20 inputs and 20 outputs? These are all 24vdc signals that are positive switching.

are you trying to connect roboguide to an AB processor through your pc's ethernet port? If so, I don't think roboguide is able to do this.
-
you can also open the password file and figure out the passwords.

Does anyone have any experience setting up a fanuc robot either a 30ia or a 30ib as a profibus master. I am doing a single connection to a beckhoff Bk3110 slave module. Even if you have not communicated directly to this beckhoff module any help with just how the master (robot) to slave (plc) is configured would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

May I ask what happened just before it stopped working? Was it running production and just stopped?

check the power jumpers after the disconnect. Perhaps it was a show robot and someone changed this?!?

Does it still have the issue if you run at a slow speed? I have seen issues in the mechanics of the robot where things like this have occurred. By swapping to a new robot the issue dissappeared. I have also seen issues with fanucs software where the robot could do straight lines (Linear move) at slow speed, less then 1000mm/sec but would have a 3/16" bow when run at higher speeds. Have you tried to mount a gauge to see just how are off the axis is?

ok. It looks like only 6.3 and 6.4 software supported ethernet... Let me know
