I believe the numbers are different for different controllers
Just look for 6 consecutive parameters with number (pulses) , then blank parameters and then you will see below another 6 consecutive parameters with number (pulses)
The first 6 are the positives and the second 6 are the negatives values
I was talking in general terms but to reconfigure, you would have to "fix" everytime that happens and that's not really fixing it. The problem here is why do yo have to calibrate the robot everyday
As far as Acknowledge, I was hoping for the software to ask you "Setup has been change, do you accept the changes ? So the only thing for you would be checking your tcp ans zones
"switch an internal input on"
I don't think you can "switch on" and input, in other words , "force" or "simulate" the input and have control of it.
My solution is a no cost material and no debugging solution
I just need a way get the robot to react to this change.
Well, I guess the problem is that you can not read an output from the software
Simple solution, just put a jumper (wire) between that OT and one IN, then you can read the IN
The other issue you have, the solution will be to JMP *LBL x in IF IN# = ON everytime you will need/could interrupt your work
Is this what you are looking for ?
I never remember if it is 0000000 or 9999999. Try 999999 to go to Management
Read the rules of the forum before you ask for more passwords !!!!!
Perfect, that's exactly what i was expecting Thanks
I think you need handshaking
You can do it 2 ways ( or more)
1) send the number back to the PLC and wait for a confirmation The WAIT you do it with a loop
2) to a DI/Do exchange, basicalyy confirming where you are in the program so the PLC does not send you info ahead
Hi
I found few post about soft float
I understand the concept, the setup, etc
What I want to know is:
Say, robot is going to point A to B under float, and hits something in between (which is what I want) , What is the actual action of the robot ? Does it move back to A ?, Stays at "that' point" ? Can I do an LPOS right there and have an escape routine ?

I guess if you already have single channel, you can see where is located. You might need hardware for the second node.
As far as the software, normally when you hook up an I/o device, Fanuc will recognize it . In your case it's going to be nodo 81 and 82 (the new one)
As far as manuals, any handling manual has a section for different i/o set ups Do you have the manuals ?
i recommend you call Mississauga, you are going to have to talk to then anyway
I'm just thinking that expanding your dnet could be a paid option too
Fabian
That is the software I use
I think in general, on any robot with safety included , if you calibrate or change the TCP, the safety areas are disable automatically.
You have to reconfigured them them or at least akcnowledge that you made the a change and you agree with the new parameters
Experience I dont have, but right now I'm working with 2 robots with 2 dnet (81 to the PLC, and 82 to tool) and ethernet
I didnt do the set up, it was done for me, but if you have any questions I can check and answer you
