    Hi
I found few post about soft float
I understand the concept, the setup, etc
What I want to know is:

Say, robot is going to point A to B under float, and hits something in between (which is what I want) , What is the actual action of the robot ? Does it move back to A ?, Stays at "that' point" ? Can I do an LPOS right there and have an escape routine ?

    Hi Fabian,
The robot will deflect as far as it is set up to... once the bot gets to its position you can do what ever is necessary to continue...
I usually use soft float to let a gripper center up on a part, take an LPOS, then make an offset move from there to remove the part from where ever it lies...

If you have a situation where you are expecting something to be there, more like a search routine, Collision Skip works quite well...

    saludos
