panic mode okay thanks. I have a KRC4 controller. We just bought an x11 and have installed the hardware. We are now working on wiring the x11 plug. We plan on hooking up a door contact and an e-stop button. Do you have any good pics or links to show what to use and how to wire them in? Can you tell us which numbers need to connect on the x11 plug?

No our KRC4 does not have X11. It has EthernetIP 2.0.3 safety interface. We are also wanting to connect a door contact and an e-stop button.
Thank you for your input, we take safety seriously and are not trying to pour beer in our garage with the robot. We have looked into Autodesk Powermill and have already discussed building our room and setup in the program which will include limiting axes that "could punch through the wall".
While we appreciate your concern for safety, you come on a little strong considering we are here asking questions to do this correctly. We are a small business that is getting this amazing capability by buying a used robot and working with what we could afford. That doesn't include flying techs in to setup everything for us, which we would gladly do if we had the budget for that.
That leaves us to finding experts, such as yourself, online that will help guide us in the right direction. Thank you for all of your help.
Looking for a safety PLC for Kuka KRC4 controller. Does anyone know of a good place to buy new? Does anyone have or know someone who has a good used one? Thanks!
panic mode we are definitely hooking up a safety PLC to the KRC and then hook up the PLC to the contact for the door. Is that correct?

SkyeFire we are not trying to get anyone killed! We built a room for it and just planned on locking the door when it is running. After doing more research we have decided to wire up the door to the PLC.
Thank you both! We got it in startup mode and everything works great. We are now working on mounting it to the floor and looking for a PLC!!

Hello. We just bought a 2016 Kuka KR60 L45-3 with KRC4 controller. We have hooked power up to it and when we are in T1 and we press the enable button the axis do not light up green and the robot does not move. We get an error code kss00404 "Safety stop" and kss10047 "Connection between PLC and local safety slave terminated" . Also not sure if it matters but the c4 controller does not have a PLC.
Does anyone have a good starting point for us?
