I have a system with (8) E54 controllers. I am having an issue on one of these controllers where I cannot get motors on. There are no faults on the pendant before or after attempting to turn the motors on. The pendant is set to RUN, the TEACHLOCK is ON, and TEACH/REPEAT on the controller is set to TEACH.
I do believe this robot once was able to jog as they have been moved outside of shipped position. I was not here for that so I cannot confirm 100% that this was the case or possibly moved via brake release and a crane.
A customer's setup file has been loaded to this controller, again not by myself, and I am starting to think that a setting in this setup may be blocking the ability to turn motors on. The other 7 robots have no problem jogging and have had similar, albeit not the exact same, setup files loaded into them.
I have compared the pendant with one that is able to be moved but I have not found any differences outside of use case specifics (i.e. spot welder vs dispenser vs material handler).
Any ideas on where to look, possibly in disabling an IO or setting, to test and enable motors?
