I am new to Yaskawa environment and robot in general, and I want to be able to communicate with the controller over Ethernet. Especially, I am using an FS100 controller, and I want to send/receive signal from a PC that would be read/write in an INFORM program with IN#/OT#. In other word, i want to access the general input/output via Ethernet.
So first, is this possible ? The "FS100 OPTIONS INSTRUCTIONS FOR HIGH-SPEED ETHERNET SERVER FUNCTION" (page 49) state that only Network input are writable, but (1) does that mean that all output can be read ? (2) can INFORM program access I/O send over the Ethernet network ?
Second, again in the "FS100 OPTIONS INSTRUCTIONS FOR HIGH-SPEED ETHERNET SERVER FUNCTION" (page 49), the is different types of I/O associated with different number (e.g 2501 to 2628: Network input), but this is not a direct correspondence with the number used when calling IN#/OT# in an INFORM job. I understand that the correspondence is decided within the ladder (right?). But can I know that correspondence ?
So, to sum up, I want a PC to manage the signals that are used by an INFORM job. From that I want to take control on how some par of the job unroll by activating/deactivating some signals (with commands such as WAIT, UNTIL, ...).
As a side note, I don't think I will be allowed to update the ladder, if required.
