IRVISION for character identification

    Hey guys!

    I need to do character identification using IRVision. The camera identifies the text and would like to use it in programming logic, using a string, for example. I have no knowledge of KAREL, only more basic vision processes, such as VOFFSET repositioning and barcode identification.

    Can someone help me?

    Approved the thread.

    Not sure that FANUC's iRVision-suite offers OCR (Optical Character Recognition).


    Maybe if you train each of the characters that you need to be able to read and assign them to different model-IDs and then sort the results of the vision process not by score but by position (from left to right). Then you can read the results and depending of which model-ID is detected in which order, you can piece together your own string?

    Not sure if TPP can handle string logic though..
