    Hello everybody,

we have installed a new KRC5, KSS 8.7 with two external axes. The ext servos are pretty big, MG_180 and MG _160

Everything works great in AUT. The ratios, the rpm, the speeds, the ramps.....I'm not an expert, but it sure looks like there is nothing that needs to be changed.

However, we have a complaint from the customer, that the E2 moves pretty slow when jogging in T1. Sometimes he needs to manually rotate the E2 back to zero (0) degrees and he hates the waiting.

Is there a parameter to increase the jog speed of only E2, without affecting anything from its behaviour in AUT ?

I'm not sure jog speed in T1 can be increased. But, if E2 is an Asynchronous axis, you might be able to use the $ASYNC_T1_FAST variable, to let them run a "move to reset position" program in T1 where E2 (and only E2) can move at T2 speeds. Obviously, you need to be VERY careful with this, but I used it once when I had a robot mounted on a 10m vertical external axis that had such a high mechanical advantage that moving it from top to bottom in T1 could take over 10 minutes. Using $ASYNC_T1_FAST let us get that down to about 1min.

$ASYNC_T1_FAST is write-protected from both program and VarCor, IIRC, so you have to set it in $MACHINE.DAT. Or, with newer KSS versions, it might be a checkbox in WorkVisual's axis config.
