R30iB to Allen Bradley Safety PLC Intermittent Comm Issue

    Hello everyone,

    so I am having a problem with some EIP communication to an Allen Bradley PLC.

    When I break some light curtains on a third party device, my CSO's from my robot drop out when they shouldn't in the PLC. They stay on in the robot DCS menu. We determined that they are dropping out due to the controller losing ethernet connection with the PLC momentarily, then they come back on and reconnect by themselves.

    Has anyone seen anything like this before?

    When you hold your hand in the light curtain, and not remove your hand, does the power/connection stay on? there's a chance you connected that safety to your power. It sounds to me like you're just having power get cut off due to your controller, not necessarily a programming issue.
