Starting off, post what things you've tried and where specifically you're having issue, what step of the importing process into roboguide are you hitting your roadblock? what file type are you trying to import into roboguide?

Hey all, this is my first posted thread where I wanted to get an idea of what I got myself into. Manager man wants me to program a Go Fa collaborative bot for a trade show but I have a short time line to learn how to do it. I've never programmed robot arms before, and know next to nothing about robot studio, or other resources. I've been messing with Robot Studio, but the tutorials I can find are really dated and don't go over anything that I think would be all that relevant besides super general path programming.

What resources are out there to help learn the ins and outs of these arms for as little to no cost/wait time as necessary. (I have like a week deadline), let me know if you have some favorites out there, or link other threads that have information you think would be helpful.

Also I think general discussion about these new arms would be cool. They seem to be kind of hard to implement thanks to the collaborative robot part of what they are. What are use cases you can think of that isn't just marketing but instead practical real world ideas?

I'm personally a big fan of the Pine64 RockPro 64, it's faster, cheaper, and in my opinion, easier to implement than a Jetson Nano. I've mounted vision systems to it before and it handled it like a champ. Granted, I used torch, not Tensorflow on it.

I think it depends on what background programs you'd have running on the real bot. That's all that it sounds like considering how extensively you've checked everything else.

When you hold your hand in the light curtain, and not remove your hand, does the power/connection stay on? there's a chance you connected that safety to your power. It sounds to me like you're just having power get cut off due to your controller, not necessarily a programming issue.

what robot are you using?

ROS compatibility is good but I'd only go for it if it can provably work with your arms, what arms are you going to be mounting to it? ROS is good, but finicky to get it to work with other bots that are say, something like ABB or Fanuc or what have you.
