Using non Kuka gearbox on external axis - possible?

    I have a ME_360_180_30_S0 Kuka servo, it has 6.9kw. My goal is to use it to build a track to move a kr10.

    The problem I'm finding is the gearbox. I wish I could find a compatible 1:10 planetary gearbox with pinion, but the shaft of Kuka servos don't have keyways, they have splines.

    Did someone had this issue and knows a solution? It wouldn't be a problem for me to machine a flange to adapt a gearbox, the shaft is the main problem.

    Approved the thread.

    The KUKA servos come in both splined (involute) and circular shaft versions. But since you apparently have a splined shaft, you need either a gearbox that accepts a splined-shaft drive, or an adapter.

    I don't know the exact mechanical details, but as far as I'm aware, the spline pattern on the KUKA servos (which are just relabled Siemens servos) adhere to general industry standards, so finding a compatible adapter should be entirely possible. The components on this pagemight be a good starting point.
