Hi
for a long time I have a problem with Kuka KRC2 180PA.
Windows starts without any problem. Booting Cross3 takes about 5 minutes (on the 2nd robot I have with a supermicro 370sba 400MHz motherboard it takes about 1 minute).
Starting KSS also takes quite a long time compared to the 2nd robot. Additionally, the "Technology initialization" screen gets stuck while loading "KUKATPBASIS" for several minutes. Other modules load quickly. Upon launch, the console shows the following error:
The error occurs every time, no matter if hot or cold start.
HMI works smoothly, you can move the robot, but for example changing from user to expert takes a few minutes and during this time all control freezes
The error most likely shows up from the very beginning, (I've had the robot for about half a year), I didn't pay attention to it during the first launches. There was also a problem with the long loading of the environment. KSS version 4.1.6 SP3 was on drive D.
I reinstalled KSS to version 4.1.7 SP8 hoping it would improve the machine's performance. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. So I soldered the capacitors on the motherboard.
It didn't give much results.
I bought a used board (also SOYO SY-7VBA-133K), after replacing the main board, the effect was unchanged.
Additionally checked:
- Windows renstalled
- replaced MFC card
- replaced KVGA card
- upgraded RAM
- changed various configurations of RAM slots
- replaced PC power supply
- system installed on new HDD
- replaced KPS
- replaced BIOS battery, kuka defaults loaded in bios
- replaced CPU (Celeron 733mhz SL52Y)
After replacing the KUKA PC with a version with a SUPERMICRO motherboard, everything starts up quickly and without errors. Is it possible that the SOYO board is not compatible with the KSS versions it has? Originally, there was version 4.1.6 SP3 on disk D, but I am not sure if it is supported by SOYO, it is possible that KRC CABINET is some kind of compilation of several robots.
KSS version 4.1.7 SP8 which I have in the robot also does not work properly with the SOYO board.
Can any of you confirm what KSS versions the SOYO motherboards work with, I wouldn't want to buy another board, I already have 2 most likely working SOYO. I wouldn't want to buy another SUPERMICRO this time if it's a matter of software version. Maybe there's something else I could check?
