I've got a pendant! It was a 50817-1260R00 with the cord cut off so I got it at a discount. I bought and installed some cord and a male square connector quadruple checking all 18 connections as I fixed up the pendant. I powered on and it seemed to work! Screen lit up the buttons pressed but the touch screen doesn't work in the middle section of the screen. Would this replace the touch screen?
No more Error (-600)! The motors enable and when I set the switches on the controller to "Run' and "Teach" and hold in one of the dead man switches on the pendant. I can hear the brakes deactivate and the motors enable and hold their positions. Though I couldn't figure out how to jog the robot through the pendant, none of the buttons seemed to do anything..
I created a program called "test" through the terminal software where it just called the "HOME" command but I can't get it to execute.. I have the switches on the controller set to "Run' and "Repeat" and the "Teach Lock" switch on the pendant was set to "off" but it threw an error saying "ERROR (-202) Cannot execute program, TEACH LOCK is ON." (I would have sent "EX test" but the "S" part of the screen doesn't work) I toggled the switch only to get the same error. So I opened up the pendant and probed the contacts on the switch. The board is connected to the COM and the NC on the "Teach Lock" switch. I unplugged the "Teach Lock" switch from the board in the pendant and probed the COM and the NC, with either position the switch was in the contacts wouldn't close or had any resistance while between the COM and the NO worked fine. I thought it was a bad contact so I jumped the pins on the board for the "Teach Lock" switch and still got the same error. I removed the jumper and kept the switch unplugged and the same error. Is this a case where the board is looking for a resistance reading through the switch or is something on the board bad? The Part# on the switch is AS6-Y
