I have to replace the motor on J5 on our fanuc. Is it a simple case of plug and play or do i have to calibrate the new motor in some way ?

You just have to remaster that axis. Also put the robot in a position where the wrist won't fall when you remove the motor.
Forgive me as I only know very basic programming. How do I remaster the individual axis ?
you have a option with the name "single axis master".
