Hello,
The other day, our MRC stopped in mid cycle (we are a testing facility). The TP showed three errors: "1261-DEFECTIVE ENCODER ABSO DATA", "1361-BREAK IN PG LINE", and "4050-ABSO DATA CHANGE ERROR". We shut down the controller; gave it a smell test; rang out the encoder cable, opened the encoder cap, it looked and smelled ok. When we put everything back together, the errors had cleared.
We attempted to jog the robot into the home position but the B axis stops approximately 15 degrees short of parallel to the Upper arm. The TP says " Pulse Limit Max".
We attempted move it using the "CHECK POSITION" procedure, the B axis curls to the negative and bumps into the upper arm.
We attempted to change the home position and got the same result.
Is there another way to change the home position?
Does this sound like the encoder needs replacing?
Thank you
