Always Active User Alarms

Hello All,

I'm very new to Fanuc so this might be a pretty basic one.

With User Alarms, is it possible to have them running in the background all the time, kind of like an interrupt?

For example, the application I would like to do is the following:

Have a DI hooked up to an air pressure sensor, and if that DI drops low due to air being shut off to the cell, everything stops.

I have already created the User alarm as a macro job and adjusted the alarm severity, I just don't know how to have this triggered at all times.

Your pressure sensor could (should?) be wired to the PPABN (pneumatic pressure abnormal) signal. Otherwise, you could monitor the digital input in a background program...

That was simply an example, I am asking how to set up the background programs that could monitor this.
