I have recently started learning how to operate a DX 100 Controller. We have an SDA 10 Dual Arm Robot. The robot is purchased for training and research purposes. For now we would like to demonstrate the capabilities of the robot with simple pick and place programs.
However, we are tasked to start with using a laser scanner to create a virtual gate so if someone walks up to the robot, the robot will slow down in increments and eventually stop. Right now, we have a laser scanner that will provide 3 digital inputs to the DX 100 Controller. Each of these corresponds to whether someone is in a specific region.
I am having difficulty on where to start with this. I would really appreciate some guidance.
I guess my first question is, can this even be done with the DX 100 Controllers? Would we need any additional option (hardware/software) to achieve this?
