FTP into roboguide (virtual controller?)

I have the grueling task to edit about 20 .tp programs, about 7 lines of codes in multiple locations for each.
I do have roboguide, but even there it is pretty tedious to modify the programs.

From a search on this site it seems like ftp into the virtual controller (I assume this is the "robot" I have open in roboguide), modify the .ls file and import that back. I have filezilla setup to ftp into "real" robots, and tried it using 127.0.0.1 port 20,21,22 and 9000 which works in a browser to bring up the web server.

    What am I doing wrong?

127.0.0.1, port 21 will get you into the first robot in your roboguide cell. After that it is port 9125 for the second, port 9126 for the third, etc.

One thing to set is the remote directory as "\md:" no quotes. Otherwise filezilla won't display anything.

Port 21 gives me this error: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

Google tells me it is probably some kind of firewall error. Now I need to decide if it's worth fighting IT over this issue :uglyhammer2:

Can you connect to it using the command prompt?

Another thing to check is if the ftp server is started on the robot side. Go to SETUP, then HOST COMM, then hit details, then select servers. You should see two ftp servers that show started.

That was it, thank you! :cheer:
