Hi,
I am programming a Fanuc with a linear slide as the 7th axis on group 1
I'm a little confused by the kinematics however: I had assumed the new axis would be integrated into the robot kinematics, automatically moving along the slide as the x coordinates move outside the robots envelope
as it is i can move the slide separately in the E1 coordinates and the robot will maintain TCP position: kind of the reverse of what I had hoped!
Is this at all possible? Has anyone done anything similar?
