Roboguide External I/O Connection mapping

    HI,

    I want to read the UO from the Roboguide
    Therefore i set up a OPC communication between my PLC and the Roboguide. I can map ( and read them out in the PLC ) the first 16 UO to a word but the 17 and up gives me a red field box (see attachment)

    Any help is more then appreciated!

    hello Samuel
    Welcome to the robot forum

    I know nothing about OPC but I can tell you Fanuc doesn't have 32 UI so maybe that is the conflict
    Maybe you could do what is most common, which is map the UI to DI and then do your OPC comm

    I was indeed mapping two words into a 18bit long array. To solve this i linked a word to the first 16 UOP bits and the other two to booleans.

    Hi Samuel,

    Did you finally communicate through OPC? How do I have to configure the TP? and Kepserver? I need external I/O connection?

    I tried trying all the ways I've seen in the forum but it doesn't communicate.

    I work with roboguide v9 and kepserverEx 5 in the same virtual machine with 2 ethernet module.

    Hi kikenavarro.

    What should you connect to Roboguide since you need the OPC? I can help you with the connection, but it depends on what you are trying to do?

    I have a physical Siemens S7-1200 PLC connected to Roboguide via KepserverEX and it works-
