Hey y'all
Has anyone ever had an issue with a flex pendent where you get a message on start up that says 'trying to connect to the controller'? I've looked around and all I can find is replace the CMOS battery.
I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction?

Check the connector on the outside of the cabinet for bent/pushed in pins. Next make sure that the ethernet cable is plugged in on the inside to the other side of the same connector. Make sure that the other end of that ethernet cable is plugged in at the CPU. Hint, should be color coded.

And what would you say if the connectors themselves looked fine, but the Ethernet connection at the computer is nonexistent (light is not lit for the Ethernet port)
Ethernet cable or something in the pendent itself? -
Assuming it is a bad wire, would you happen to have a wiring diagram so I could more easily fix the issue?

Swap another cable from the cpu to the inside of the connector for TP.

you can remove and reseat the Cmos Battery (or replace it) on the computer in the cabinet.
You can flash the pendent by rebooting the cabinet and on reboot hold the Stop button and the three side ways III on the right hand side of the pendent. this should take you to new screen.if that fails if you have another pendent to swap in that will tell you if the problem is in the cabinet or in the pendent. you can also try to connect to the cabinet with robot studio. if you can connect the issues is likely the pendent
At this point if the problem is in the pendent in my experience ABB usually recommends sending the pendent in for a discount on a new one. or for them to fix yours but that takes about 3 weeks
