Hey Everyone, i'm new to the forum and I have about a year of experience running a couple welding robots (Fanuc R-2000iA with a R-J3Ib Controller)
We use fixtures, positioners, tables, jack stands, anything that will allow us to secure the part that needs welding. i wanted to set up the robot cell with all of the above mentioned mounted around the robots so that all/most of our fixtures are ready to be used at all times. Seems simple enough.... herein lies the problem, i wanted to somehow teach the robots whats around them, so they wont crash into obstacles that weren't there when the program was created. That being explained, is there any way i can create 3D zones/cells within the robot cell, that the robot will know not to pass through?
