'Locations' are stored in the location register and referenced via programs.
- Therefore in order to change a location name, it has to be changed in the register AND all programs.....this cannot be done using one command.
So you have to copy it, and update the programs with the new name.
If the old one is used in program(s), you will need to remove the references to the point in all programs before deleting from the register.Irrespective of Controller to copy a location:
1. Select Keyboard
2. Type in
POINT newname = oldname ; For transform point to copy
POINT #newname = #oldname ; For joint angle point to copyYou could then edit the program and change it by typing:
EDIT program_name,1
F oldname
M/oldname/newnameLong winded if you have many references to the location, but if it's the odd one, then easy enough.
Hope this helps and welcome to the forum.............

First tell us which robot and which controller(eg. AD/C/D/E/F) you have. Instruction may vary between the different robot controllers.

Sydat95 - I have merged both of your topics as they appear to be relative to the same topic.
Kawasaki Controllers are predominately set for BLOCK Programming.
- Most functions are biased towards this style of programming.
- There are some functions which can be used for AS also, but is dependent on the Controller model used (As per Kawaguy's suggestion). If you have AD/C/D/E Controller and gain access to the keyboard (built in AS Editor), then referencing the AS Programming Language Manual, you can use the keyboard method for ANY modification in the exact same way you would, if you were using KCWin or KRTerm from a remote PC.
