It's probably going to depend on which Lincoln/Miller welder you are using and what method of communication it uses (ethernet, devicenet, etc.). If it's Miller your best luck is probably to call Miller direct and they should be able to give you an idea of what would work for your situation.

I assume you mean "set up" a Lincoln / Miller welder.
There are a variety of ways to interface equipment to robots, but it also depends on your expectation of what functions you want. The robot inputs and outputs provide the control and feedback. It could be very basic trigger on and off with a reed switch to signal arc start, for example to get a simple job done. Might need wiring a relay to a gas solenoid or water cooler, things like that. It may take some fabrication to adapt the torch and holder to the wrist, as well as locating the wirefeeder, and hardware.
I've collected old robots over the years and some come with complete welding packages, so the idea is identify the wires from the old welder interface and attach them to the robot terminals. The analog inputs for volts and wire feed may be complicated by differing voltages or other issues between the new robot and old donor robot.
Good Luck.
