Hello to all, I'm trying to use draw part (only freehand available ??) to create circular motion but it looks impossible. Does anyone know combination of multiple options that would give me circular motion on pipes joint being welded. Thanks in advance.
Using draw part features in Roboguide in order to get circular motions

Are you using the cad to path feature of Roboguide??? Especially around a pipe that should give you very decent circular motion, keeping the slider bar for straight line detection low.

Yes Bencor, I'm trying to use Cad to Path, I found out that is really critical what kind of 3D model you are importing into WeldPro, I was able to create circular motion with Iges 3D model of high resolution. In most of other cases program doesn't properly recognize part features, that's the reason it's giving me only freehand option. Do you know some good free 3D conversion program by any chance, since I'm usually getting 3D step models I have to convert.
Thanks. -
I really can't help you on that 1. I generally just get 1 of our mechanical engineers to take care of getting me whatever I need. They use Pro E.

ya if had issues as well with anything other than iges. I just export all my 3d modes in iges format. Your 3d modeling software should have an exprort 3d option. Im using AutoCAD Inventor.
