Hello Guys!
I need a help with a problem.
I have a encoder setup for linetracking, so far so good.
We are going to be using a optical sensor for the trigger because of the distance between the part and the sensor and the precision of the triggering.
The problem is that the trigger signal, might be prone to unwanted triggering mostly because of parts and things in the way that shouldn't trigger it.
So I'm thinking of doing an AND logic of the Part Detect Sensor Trigger plus an inductive sensor.
The inductive sensor purpose is to create a small window where the Part Detect Sensor Trigger can be activated (acting as a filter).
This way if the inductive sensor is OFF and the Part Detect Sensor is ON the actual trigger won't be fired.
But now comes the question, how do I set internally a DI do to that?
On the encoder screen I'm only allowed to choose only DIs as a trigger..........
I was thinking of setting a DI [50] (for example) as the inductive sensor and a DI [51] as the Part Detect Sensor and a thrid DI [52] (for example) as the actual trigger which would the result be in BG_LOGIC like this:
DI [52] = DI [50] AND DI [51]
Even in BG_LOGIC I can't set a DIs only DOs.
This way I can use DI [52] as the trigger for the encoder "ZERO".
Thanks for any suggestions.
