It's possible to call a macro directly using the CALL function but it's also possible to set macros in the macro table and use a different function that only works on macros in the macro table.
I understand that this allows us to adjust the name of a macro without actually changing it and allows us to change what macro is being called without modifying all the routines which call them (just change which macro is mapped to that spot in the table).
My question is, are there any other advantages? Are macros in the macro table kept in memory and thus called faster? I tested and found that both ways can pass arguments...
Thanks!
