R30iB memory upgrade

Hello all,

I'm preparing for a memory upgrade on a R30iB controller. We have purchased an FROM/SRAM card with SRAM upgraded from 2mb to 3mb. In looking through the fanuc image restore procedure, I came across a cautionary note stating: YOU SHOULD HAVE IMAGE FILES FROM THE SAME SIZE OF FROM/SRAM. IF YOU DON'T THIS OPERATION CAUSES FATAL DAMAGE TO THIS CONTROLLER. Is there another step to the image restore or is it safe to proceed????

You have to reload system software when you upgrade memory. Do an AOTA restore after reloading the software, load everything but sysvars.sv

Thanks for replying! So I reload core software, is that ALL SOFTWARE INSTALLATION from the BMON menu?

Then I can run all of above file restore?
