I am setting up a M-10 R30ib robot with a two axis positioner. Can anyone tell me what the settings mean for Attached, Follower or both means?

When setting up the coordinate frames you have the option to define HOW the orientation of the follower (the robot) is handle when you jog the positioner
You can restrict to use only FIXED orientation, so when the positioner is jogged the robot follows the leader kepping its orientation
Or you can also specify to move the tool as ATTACHED: it would changes it´s orientation when you jog the positionerBut why limiting to only one type? it is usually set to BOTH
so you can switch between the two using the functions menuWhen it is ATTACHED you´ll see something like C21 when jogging coordinately
When orientation is FIXED you´ll see F21When using BOTH you can use FUNTIONS F9 [Toogle Coor Ornt] to switch between both
