A friend has a KRC2 and wants to purchase a used KCP as new, the price is much to high for him.
He has asked me if I could assist.....
I have confirmed at least 3 variants and guess that there are more.
His pendant label is not legible, and he has lost the quote he received from KUKA.
I will get a re-quote based on the system ID.
But what I am interested in is.....
Does anyone have any info on compatibility of the KCPs variants? (Or incompatibility?)

Well, these are the variants I can think of off the top of my head:
Mode Select -- "stock" KRCs had the T1/T2/AUT/EXT mode key on the KCP, but some customers wanted it moved to the cabinet bulkhead.
Connector -- round "servo" style connector vs rectangular "Harting" connector.
Safety -- before the ed2005 KRC2s, I think the safety circuit through the KCP was pure hard-wire, but after, I think the KCP safeties were also nodes on the ESC board's safety "network". It's not a subject I ever had to study in detail, however, so I could be very wrong on the details
RoboTeam -- this one is more rare, but a RoboTeam KCP changed the functions of the buttons that were normally "motors on/off."
As far as I'm aware, the video and CANBus connections changed little, if at all, over the lifetime of the KRC2.
Hope this helps.
